You are reserving your place in Finca Tierra’s 15-day Permaculture Design Certificate course on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.

For more than 15 years, over 1,000 students from 40+ countries have come to Finca Tierra to study permaculture inside a working off-grid tropical system.

The course follows the internationally established 72-hour Permaculture Design Certificate curriculum and combines ecological design theory, hands-on fieldwork, direct observation of working systems, and a complete one-acre design exercise.

No previous permaculture experience is required.

Reserve Your Place

Only 12 students are accepted per course.

Reserve your place in the November 1–15, 2026 Permaculture Design Course with a $400 deposit.

Your $400 deposit is applied toward your total tuition and reserves your place in the course.

Tuition

Standard Tuition: $2,000 USD

Early Bird Tuition: $1,850 USD
Available when your full tuition is paid by October 2, 2026.

Payment Options

Reserve Your Place — $400 deposit

Then pay one of the following balances:

Early Bird Balance — $1,450
When paid by February 5, 2027.

Standard Balance — $1,600
When paid after February 5, 2027.

You may also pay the full Early Bird Tuition of $1,850 now.

Accommodation

Accommodation is included for every participant.

Finca Tierra has eight hand-built bamboo cabinas:

  • Four private cabinas with queen beds

  • Four shared cabinas with two single beds

Private cabinas are limited and assigned in the order that full tuition balances are received.

There is no additional fee for private accommodation.

Your deposit reserves your place in the course. Paying your full balance earlier gives you priority for a private cabina.

Refund & Transfer Policy

  • The $400 deposit is non-refundable and secures your place in the selected course.

  • Tuition paid above the deposit is refundable until October 2, 2026.

  • Within 30 days of the course, the remaining tuition balance is not refundable but may be transferred to a future course, subject to availability.

This flexibility allows participants to preserve the value of their payment when unexpected travel or personal circumstances arise.
